Directors
Responsibilities:
Assist in the selection and recruitment of
qualified candidates to coach the youth and little topper
cheerleading teams.
Act as liaison to the assistant coaches, elected
officers of the board and parents.
Assist in the implementation of the programs
written procedures: including policies, expected outcomes,
recognizing areas of opportunity, and evaluating of all aspects
of the program.
Assist in defining expectations of success.
Indicators of success include: participant satisfaction, mastery
of program content, and involvement of the community.
Qualifications:
Proficient in the basic fundamentals and knowledge
of cheerleading.
Candidate should possess strong leadership
skills and the ability to convey their knowledge and expertise
consistent with the leagues philosophy as represented by the
National Alliance for Youth Sports.
The drive and willingness to support and accommodate
the individual and team needs.
Organize practices that are fun and challenging,
lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship,
and provide a sports environment free of drugs, tobacco, and
alcohol.

After a great two out of three series, the all-stars
lost the last game to the boys from Portsmouth here at home
last week. Both teams played their hearts out and could not
have been more evenly matched. Every game was exciting to watch,
even in the rain that plagued the second game there was standing
room only crowds on hand. As always good sportsmanship was at
a high point throughout the games and both teams and fans should
be commended.
