Street Announces
"I Shop Downtown Somersworth" Promotion
In conjunction with Somersworth's 250th Celebration,
the Somersworth Main Street Program will be sponsoring an "I
Shop Downtown Somersworth" promotion on Saturday July 31st
from 3 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. Pick up your "I Shop Downtown
Somersworth" bag at the Main Street booth in the Somersworth
plaza and take it to participating downtown businesses for discounts
or special offers.
Stay tuned for more details about other 250th
Celebration events including the Downtown Street Dance.
Somersworth Main Street, Inc. is a non-profit
organization aimed at preserving the heart of the community
through a comprehensive downtown revitalization effort. For

Commemorative
License Plates for Sale
City Hall is offering a decorative auto license
plate for Somersworth's 250th anniversary. The D.O.T. has waived
the front plate requirement to allow the usage of the Somersworth
plate until the end of the year. It can be purchased at the
City Clerk's Office, Greatfalls Cleaners, and at the American
Legion Post 69 for $5.

Somersworld is viewer supported. We are currently
conducting an on-going drive for new sponsors and for renewal
of first year sponsorships. As twelve month sponsorships expire,
we are contacting our supporters asking if they want to see
Somersworld continue. If you wish to contribute, you can save
us the postage by sending your check today.
